Narcotic Detective Sergeant D. Hayworth

Detective Sgt. D. Hayworth has been employed by the Raeford Police Department since October of 2008. He was first hired as a patrol sergeant before being promoted to his current position. Sgt. Hayworth is responsible for the investigation of all narcotics in the City of Raeford and is a part of the Hoke/Raeford Narcotics Task Force. In addition, Sgt. Hayworth is part of the Hoke County Gang Task Force and the Hoke/Raeford Emergency Response Team. He holds the position of Chief of Detectives.

Sgt. Hayworth began his law enforcement career with the Hope Mills Police Department in 2003. He went to work for the Spring Lake Police Department in 2006. Sgt. Hayworth has held various positions in the patrol division, including Road Officer, Community Policing Officer, Senior Patrol Officer, and Patrol Sergeant.

Sgt. Hayworth has attended schools for Community Policing, First Line Supervisor, Search Warrant Writing, Instructor School, and basic SWAT. He has participated in the service of high risk search warrants. As a narcotics investigator, Sgt. Hayworth has participated in undercover operations involving prostitution, the sale of illegal narcotics, and the illegal sale of alcohol.
